Dien Chau: Nearly 600 people participated in the blood donation event.

(Baonghean.vn) - The 16th annual voluntary blood donation event in Dien Chau district was held on the morning of April 2nd, attracting nearly 600 participants.

This is the second time Dien Chau district has organized a blood donation event in 2017. The event attracted nearly 600 officials, teachers, youth union members, and people from 8 communes in the central part of the district, 25 schools, and 4 agencies and units. With the spirit of volunteering to donate blood to save lives, Dien Chau district collected 322 units of blood this time.

Notably, in previous years, Dien Chau district organized 3 blood donation drives, but due to the overwhelming number of participants, in 2017 the district organized 5 drives, starting from March to October. However, the 2 drives organized so far have exceeded the set target with more than 1,600 participants and 872 units of blood collected.

According to the plan, in 2017, Dien Chau district aims to mobilize 4,000 people to donate 2,000 units of blood, an increase of 300 units compared to 2016.
