Dien Chau: Women's Association builds 5 "Homes of Love and Compassion"

(Baonghean)-To welcome the 11th National Congress of Women's Representatives, since the beginning of this year, the Dien Chau Women's Union has launched a campaign to support the construction of "Houses of Love," attracting the participation of over 45,000 members throughout the district.

Each member contributed 5,000 VND, with district-level women's association officials contributing one day's salary and commune-level officials contributing 20,000 VND. Simultaneously, several philanthropists and businesses were also called upon to contribute. With nearly 100 million VND in donations, from the beginning of March until now, the Dien Chau Women's Association has begun construction of five charitable homes for poor, single members. All the labor for the construction was undertaken by the local women's association members.
