(Baonghean.vn) - After discovering four Covid-19 cases in Van Tap village, Nghe An province decided to lock down the village and implement social isolation throughout the entire commune.

Following an emergency meeting, members of the Steering Committee decided to extend social isolation to Minh Chau commune and blockade Van Tap village within the commune to focus on contact tracing, containment, and epidemic control. Associate Professor Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department of Health - requested that functional forces swiftly trace F1 cases and urgently collect samples for testing from more than 1,000 people in Van Tap village.

As reported by Nghe An Newspaper: Dien Chau district has recorded 3 more cases testing positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the district to 7 and in Nghe An province to 11 (since June 14).
These three new Covid-19 cases are all in Van Tap village, Minh Chau commune, Dien Chau district. All three live in the same village and share accommodation with a Covid-19 case that Nghe An province had announced a few hours earlier.

The Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control in Nghe An province assessed: Currently, the epidemic situation in Nghe An is very complex. There are 4 COVID-19 outbreaks in Vinh City and Dien Chau district; however, the exact source of infection has not yet been determined. Therefore, the most important thing is to conduct thorough and rapid investigation, contact tracing, and sample collection.
