Eastern Economic Forum: Promoting economic cooperation between Vietnam and Russia
(Baonghean.vn) - Attending the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) in Vladivostok, Russia, a series of memorandums of understanding will be signed to promote economic cooperation between Russia and Vietnam, including the expected signing of a direct flight route from Vietnam to Vladivostok, Russia.

Attending the 5th EEF, the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung. Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung said that within the framework of EEF 2019, many plans have been developed, including the expected signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and Russia, which is considered one of the important contents this time.
In addition, representatives of airlines are expected to discuss signing an agreement to open direct flights, connecting Vietnam with Vladivostok in particular and the Far East region in general.
On September 4, the 5th Eastern Economic Forum officially opened in Vladivostok, Russia.
EEF 2019 took place from September 4 to 6, with the main theme "Far East - development horizons" attracting the participation of about 8,000 delegates from more than 50 countries around the world.
Held for the first time in 2015, the EEF aims to attract investment and promote development cooperation in the Far East region. With the success of previous events, the EEF quickly attracted the international community. At the EEF 2018, 220 agreements and contracts were signed with a total value of more than 45 billion USD.
