Dien Dong 60 years of formation and development

(Baonghean) -Dien Dong (Dien Chau) was established in August 1953 on the basis of separation from Tan Thai commune. The commune has a population of nearly 5 thousand people, a total natural land area of ​​486.26 hectares, of which agricultural land is 300.05 hectares.

Over 60 years of formation and development, under the leadership of the Party, like many other villages, Dien Dong people are united, hardworking and join hands to build their homeland to become more and more prosperous.

From the Revolutionary climax (30-31) to the national democratic movement (36-39), the movement to build the Viet Minh base towards the general uprising to seize the revolutionary government (41-45), and during the resistance war against French colonialism, the Party Committee and people of Dien Dong commune both built and consolidated the revolutionary government and gradually stabilized the people's lives, actively prepared human and material resources, and contributed to the overall victory of the whole country. After the victory over French colonialism, Dien Dong, together with the whole country, entered a period of economic recovery and reform and implemented the Party's first five-year plan.

During the period of 1965 - 1975, under the leadership of the Party, in the common spirit of the nation, the Party Committee and people of Dien Dong both produced and fought and served in combat, with the slogan "not a pound of rice was missing, not a soldier was missing", contributing to defeating the destructive war of the American Empire, unifying the Fatherland, and together with the whole country moving forward to build socialism.

With the goal of building a homeland rich in economy, strong in politics, security, national defense and civilized in life, in recent years, the Party Committee and people of Dien Dong have overcome many difficulties to complete the targets set by the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress. In particular, in 2012, the total production value increased by 12%, the average income per capita was 21,217,000 VND/person/year.

Up to now, the whole commune has 19 cars, 65 plows, 33 rice threshers, 9 wood saws, thousands of machines, vehicles for transportation, daily life and audio-visual. There are 229 business households, 485 households with side jobs, 104 people working abroad... The movement to build a cultural life has received attention, the whole commune has 86.8% of families meeting the standards of a cultural family. The commune has a kindergarten, primary school and medical station meeting national standards.

From the resolution of the Commune Party Congress for the 2010-2015 term, the key task was determined to continue economic development, ensure social security to make Dien Dong a top commune in the district. The Party Committee and local government focused on implementing the new rural construction project, which is both a goal and a driving force for overall growth. Based on the review according to standards and models, the commune has synthesized and drawn out 8 unmet criteria to focus on directing and rebuilding the new rural development planning plan with the key targets being: Combining agricultural production with promoting livestock development, focusing on trade services and increasing income.

By 2015, the average income per capita will reach 30 - 35 million VND per year, reducing the number of poor households to below 5%. To achieve the above target, the commune will gradually shift its economic structure towards gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture and increasing the proportion of industry, handicrafts and construction. Convert 7.4 hectares of rice land to build concentrated livestock areas and handicraft areas. Currently, the commune is focusing on directing farmers to quickly consolidate land according to Directive 08 of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.

Carrying forward the tradition of the past 60 years, the Party Committee and people of Dien Dong vow to make efforts to build and develop their homeland to become increasingly prosperous.
