(Baonghean) - Being a purely agricultural commune with inconvenient transportation, Quynh Dien commune (Quynh Luu) faces many difficulties and limitations in mobilizing resources and advantages. However, thanks to the tradition of solidarity and determination of cadres and party members, and the hard work of the people, the commune has overcome the monoculture of rice, developed the economy and thereby improved life in all aspects.

Arriving in Quynh Dien today, the car ran smoothly on the wide, flat asphalt road to the commune's working center. Alleys and village roads were concreted, spacious, clean and beautiful.

Every month, the commune organizes cleaning of village roads and alleys.

The entire Quynh Dien commune has raised its determination, joined hands, joined efforts, joined hearts, and made efforts to build production models, farm models, create capital, create jobs, train, propagate... maintain traditional occupations, apply scientific advances in production, and transform the structure of crops and livestock to increase income values ​​per unit area. If in the 1990s, rice productivity was only 4.2-4.5 tons/ha, it is now 8.5-8.7 tons/ha. The commune has a large model field of 51.3 ha, in which the large model field brings an additional income of 12-15% compared to other fields. The whole commune now has 67 highly effective livestock and crop farming models.

Quynh Dien also promotes the development of industries, services and trade. Currently, the whole commune has 22 milling and animal feed processing machines, 1 enterprise, 45 construction and carpentry teams, over 30 cars of all kinds for travel and passenger transport services. Nearly 70 people are working abroad. There are 2 rattan and bamboo weaving export villages recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as craft villages, often with stable jobs with an income of 3 - 5 million VND/person/month. The average income is 26 million VND/person/year; the rate of well-off and rich households is higher year after year, the rate of poor households is below 2%. The annual commune budget revenue increases by 14.4%.

In 2015, the commune's budget revenue reached over 5 billion VND; completed 100% of all types of taxes for the state and local contributions. Notably, in the process of building the new rural area (in 4 years), Quynh Dien reached the finish line earlier than planned. Completed 19/19 criteria with a total investment capital for building the new rural area of ​​151.2 billion VND, of which the people contributed 86.80 billion VND, accounting for 57.4%.

Weaving in Quynh Dien commune brings in an income of 3-5 million VND/month.

Quynh Dien also pays special attention to building a new cultural lifestyle in residential areas and improving the quality of education. Currently, nearly 80% of the commune's families have achieved the title of Cultural Family and 5/6 hamlets maintain the title of Cultural Village. The commune has completed the program of universalizing preschool education for 5-year-old children at 100%, primary education at 99% and secondary education at 94%; 100% of teachers in schools meet and exceed standards; 2/2 schools have achieved the title of national standard schools. The commune also takes care of planning, training staff and developing the party;... In the past 5 years, the Party Committee and the commune government have received a Certificate of Merit for their exemplary achievements in implementing the grassroots democracy regulations; for 4 consecutive years, they have achieved excellent completion of their tasks. In 2014, the commune was awarded the Emulation Flag by the Provincial People's Committee for Excellent Unit.

Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Lan - Chairman of Quynh Dien Commune People's Committee said: In the coming time, Quynh Dien will focus on expanding the area of ​​large-scale fields; increasing crops, introducing plant varieties with high productivity, potential, and commodity value and applying scientific advances in production to achieve an income of 80 - 82 million VND/ha. Develop more livestock farms, effectively promote the export weaving profession. Strive for an average income of 29.5 million VND/person in 2016.
