The hypothetical situation is that at around 9am on March 15, 2017, while all activities at Hung Lam Hotel in Block 10, Quy Hop Town, Quy Hop District were going on normally, a guest staying in room 106 accidentally dropped a cigarette butt on the carpet. After a period of smoldering, the fire produced a lot of smoke and toxic gas, causing the fire to spread to surrounding areas.

Fire police quickly used water cannons to control the fire.

Immediately after the fire broke out, the owner of the facility promptly discovered it, urgently shouted, rang the alarm bell to alert everyone in the hotel and surrounding residents to move their belongings to a safe location and called the Fire Police Department No. 3.

Due to the rapid spread of the fire, which produced a lot of smoke and toxic gas, the search for victims encountered many difficulties. After a short time, smoke covered all floors. In particular, on the 2nd floor, there was a victim trapped in room 106.

After receiving the report from the local forces, determining that the fire was very serious, the fire commander mobilized 1 command vehicle, 1 specialized fire truck and all forces and vehicles of the unit to urgently go to the scene.

Immediately after arriving at the scene, the fire commander asked the facility owner to give a preliminary report on the fire situation, developments and issues related to firefighting such as traffic, water source, fire developments, and the number of people trapped in the fire that needed to be rescued.

After all the search for victims was completed, and no one was trapped in the hotel, the fire commander ordered the fire fighting team to approach the fire area, parked at the facility yard, and deployed the second team to enter the fire area to prevent the fire from spreading. After 15 minutes, the fire was basically controlled and completely extinguished after 25 minutes.
