Firefighting drills for fishermen on boats.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 17th, at Cua Hoi fishing port in Cua Lo town, the Nghe An Fishing Port Management Board, in coordination with the Nghe An Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department No. 2, organized a training session on the Fire Prevention and Fighting Law and a practical fire drill on fishing boats for local fishermen.

The training course was attended by over 50 owners of fishing boats from Cua Lo town, Nghi Loc, Dien Chau, and Quynh Luu districts, as well as several businesses providing logistics services for the fishing industry at Cua Hoi fishing port. During the one-day session, participants were briefed on the Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting, Government Decree 79/2014, and Circular 66 of the Ministry of Public Security; and basic knowledge and skills in fire prevention and fighting related to the use of electricity, gasoline, and liquefied petroleum gas.

Following the theoretical training, the trainees participated in a fire drill on fishing boats. The scenario involved a fishing boat anchored in the Cua Hoi fishing port catching fire. Upon detection, the on-site firefighting team implemented measures to extinguish the fire, rescue people and property on board, and simultaneously notified professional firefighting forces for assistance.

The drill helped the local firefighting forces understand the basic contents of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Law, firefighting skills, and especially improve coordination in fire prevention and fighting work so that when a fire or explosion occurs, damage to people and property will be minimized.
