Drill to overcome power outage due to storm

(Baonghean.vn) - With the hypothetical situation that the power supply to Tuong Duong district was interrupted due to the impact of a big storm, on March 2, Nghe An Electricity Company in conjunction with Tuong Duong Electricity organized a 2017 disaster prevention and search and rescue drill.

In the situation of the impact of a big storm, in Tuong Duong district, there were thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rains, causing landslides and trees falling on power lines, damaging the porcelain and breaking the bow. A particularly serious incident occurred at the position from column 10 to column 16 on the main axis of DZ 373 E15.14, causing the power supply to Tuong Duong district to be interrupted.

After receiving the notice from the PCTT&TKCN Command Board, Nghe An Power Company and Tuong Duong Power Company immediately deployed specific plans and tasks such as: replacing broken porcelain, handling contacts, adding cable clamps, and coordinating with reinforcements from Con Cuong Power Company and Ky Son Power Company to quickly handle the incident.

This is an annual activity of Nghe An Electricity Company to prepare well for the coordination between units in natural disaster prevention, ensuring safe, continuous and stable power supply during the 2017 storm season; at the same time equipping employees in the industry with storm incident handling skills as well as checking and re-evaluating equipment serving natural disaster prevention and search and rescue work.
