Actors of 'Us 8 Years Later' are ready to work with the police
Actor Khoi Tran - CEO Giang in the movie "We of 8 years later" was upset because a scammer used his image to defraud hundreds of millions of dong, causing him to be severely insulted by the victims.

Recently, a scammer opened an account under the name Nguyen Van Son but used the image of actor Khoi Tran to commit fraud. The impersonator used deepfake technology to create an image identical to the actor to make video calls to gain the trust of the victims in order to trick them into transferring money. After receiving the money, they blocked the victims' Facebook accounts. Many people then attacked the actor's personal page and insulted him because they thought he was the scammer, making Khoi Tran very upset.
On the morning of October 15, Khoi Tran shared that he was having a headache because he was impersonated by a scammer and was ready to cooperate with the police to clarify the matter.
"When I received messages from the victims, I was really confused. Some people were very polite and calm, wanting to talk to me to clarify the issue. Some people were upset and said insulting words, but because they were also victims, they tried to stay calm to talk. I advised the victims to report to the police and wanted to work with the authorities to protect my honor."

"Someone insulted me and I explained but they still didn't believe me. Even though I was very upset, I still tried to control myself. I told them to report to the police and I would cooperate and not block their Facebook. If I were a scammer, I would definitely block them and wouldn't have time to sit and talk to them because I am also a victim whose image is being used illegally," said Khoi Tran.
Currently, the actor has shared information about the incident on his personal page along with chat screenshots of the victims to warn in the hope that no more people will be scammed.
