Actors turn their backs on Minh Beo's stage

The main actors of Sao Minh Beo stage all stopped collaborating immediately after Minh Beo returned from the US with the crime of child molestation.

In recent days, Minh Beo has been strongly opposed by public opinion when he posted an apology clip. Many viewers of the clip commented that Minh Beo was being deceitful and making excuses, with absolutely no genuine remorse.

In the video, the actor shared his wish to continue working and maintain the Sao Minh Beo stage to "do charity work". However, public opinion also believes that this is just a "show-off" trick of the comedian who was convicted of child molestation in the US.

Sao Minh Beo Theater's website does not update information about plays in May, only the schedule for June. The theater still posts information about casting for plays.

Zing.vn reporter contacted the actors of Sao Minh Beo stage to find out the situation. And the fact is that most of the main actors such as Le Sang, Phuc Beo and Hoang Yen Mi have stopped collaborating with Minh Beo.

Since its establishment, Sao Minh Beo stage has gathered artists from many fields such as Cindy Thai Tai, Vu Manh Cuong, MC Ngoc Tien, Phuc Beo... During the time Minh Beo was arrested in the US, the actors all affirmed that they were still attached to the stage, even willing to reduce their salaries so that the stage could survive.

However, right after Minh Beo returned to the country and took over the stage, the actors left en masse. A source in the industry revealed to Zing reporter that the actors quit because they could not accept Minh Beo's attitude and behavior.

Actor Le Sang, the former director of the theater, was the one who took care of Sao Minh Beo theater when the actor was arrested. He said he stopped working with the theater as soon as Minh Beo returned to Vietnam.

“I am currently collaborating with stage 5B. I have not known about the situation of Sao Minh Beo stage for a long time. Stopping collaboration here is a personal matter, I do not want to talk specifically,” Le Sang affirmed.

In response to questions about the conflict with Minh Beo, Le Sang said vaguely: "When you give a lot but don't receive anything in return, it's best to stop. I don't like working with people who are in need and need me but then treat me differently."

Regarding acting since the first day of graduation, Hoang Yen Mi also left Minh Beo's stage because of "having personal work". The stage's key comedian Phuc Beo also left because he was "busy with outside film and drama projects".

Previously, Minh Beo returned to Vietnam after 9 months in prison in the US for child molestation and freely posted pictures on Facebook, even announcing a casting call, causing public outrage.

Most people objected and said that he was not qualified to continue working after committing such a shameful crime. Many people gave the comedian indignant words such as “shameless”, “boycottable”, “shameful”, “danger to society”.

In the newly released film Dancing with the Stars, Minh Beo’s role in the film was also cut by VTV. Mr. Ngo Hong Dan, Head of Vietnam Film Department, Vietnam Television, said the decision was made after Minh Beo was protested by many viewers regarding his pedophilia charges as well as his behavior after returning to Vietnam./.
