Veteran actor of the film 'Running from the Law' and 'Provincial Party Secretary' passed away

Meritorious Artist Khoi Nguyen passed away at his home in Ha Dong (Hanoi) at 4am. Relatives said he passed away peacefully because in his last days, Meritorious Artist Khoi Nguyen was able to meet his children and relatives.

More than a month ago, Meritorious Artist Khoi Nguyen had a persistent cough that did not go away after taking medicine and had a high fever, so his family took him for a check-up and discovered he had late-stage pancreatic cancer.

Meritorious Artist Khoi Nguyen was born in 1943 and started his career in 1959. He joined the reformed theater and lived by his passion, creating many famous plays of that time.

Having spent nearly half his life on the cai luong stage, Meritorious Artist Khoi Nguyen has memorized many plays and characters. Many nights, when he sleeps, he dreams about the characters he plays. When he wakes up, Meritorious Artist Khoi Nguyen tells himself that he will do better in his roles and will pass on his knowledge of the profession to young artists.
