Comedian Anh Vu suddenly passed away in the US
The famous comedian died in California on the evening of April 1 (local time) after a performance, at the age of 47.
Anh Vu was found dead in bed, purple, in Orange County by his close friend. Shortly after, American police arrived at the scene to investigate.
Before that, he performed two shows with a group of artists from Vietnam. MC Thanh Tung said that many days ago, everyone in the group realized that Anh Vu's health was getting worse. When performing, he forgot his lines and spoke incoherently. The late actor also shared with his colleagues that he took too many sleeping pills. For the past 19 years, Anh Vu has maintained an optimistic spirit in fighting his illness. He was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2000, and the disease had metastasized to his liver.

Currently in Ho Chi Minh City, People's Artist Hong Van said she was shocked when her colleagues called to tell her the sad news. "I have contacted Anh Vu's sister and brother. The family is currently in turmoil because they do not know how to get to the US as soon as possible to arrange Vu's funeral. The police in the US also need to work with relatives about Anh Vu's death," artist Hong Van shared.
Hong Van said a few days ago, Anh Vu called to confide in her about his career. Anh Vu was born on July 28, 1972. He was the deputy director of Kim Chau Drama Theater, one of the old theaters managed by "producer" Hong Van. He was the fifth child born and raised in a poor family of seven siblings. His father was a worker, his mother sold fruit. As a child, due to the family's difficult economic conditions, Anh Vu soon struggled to earn money to help his family: at 19 he worked as a coffee seller, at 20 he worked as a hairdresser, construction worker, and door painter.
