In everyone's life there is always a mother who always loves us, takes care of us, ready to sacrifice for everything for us, even her life. And so is my mother. My mom is a famous actress in Vietnam, she has many fans from young children to old, and they always say that she is very talented, beautiful, and many more things about her. But to me, in my look she is a very ordinary woman, not very prominent. Or I can say that to me she is a very normal mother, who always tries her best to do everything for my life and my future. From my childhood, I have heard many stories about her life, even her childhood or her life after marriage. But in all the story she had told, I like the most is about the time with me when I was a baby and got deafness. My mom remembered after I was born, the doctor told her that I was deaf and I maybe will never be able to talk or hear anymore. She was very sad but she still found some ways to help me to hear. Finally she found a way: hearing aids. At that time, a pair cost 150 million and she had to borrow money. After buying hearing aids, she tried to teach how to speak and finally by the age 1 and a half years, I had spoken: “Mama”, she cried a lot and huge me. Thanks for everything she did for me so untill I can talk and hear by hearing aids like another person. I think I have contracted a very, very big debt that I can't say how much is from my mother and Lord, and I also think that I am the luckiest child in the world, luckier than another person who is also deaf like me. Desperate at the doctor's diagnosis and helpless because she did not have enough money to put in a cochlear implant for her child, the mother once intended to commit suicide with her child, but a moment made her change her mind. Seeing another mother carrying her paralyzed child, who was taller than her, on her back, and then hearing people say that her child was born with cerebral palsy, but for many years, the mother still persistently took her child to physical therapy, for many years, the mother still did not give up hope to find the most normal movements for her child. "I suddenly felt that I was still many times happier than her", Hanh Thuy shared.
In the worst case scenario, Xi Muoi will only lose her ability to hear and speak, but she can still communicate and take care of herself. I have no reason to give up, nor am I allowed to stop on the journey with my child to find sound. I swore to myself that if she could not hear, speak, or live like a normal child, I would never have another child in this life, and would only focus on everything and live by her side for the rest of my life."

Calmer, she began to realize that Xi Muoi had many opportunities to receive sound and develop language. Not having enough money to put a cochlear implant in her child as the doctor had said, Meritorious Artist Hanh Thuy and her husband chose hearing aids as a more suitable method for the family, even though they had to borrow money to buy a hearing aid for 150 million VND 15 years ago.
She recalled: "The first day my child wore the machine was a big day. Dad played a symphony and sat me in the middle of the room, put on the machine and turned on the music. Xi Muoi opened her eyes wide to receive the sound - perhaps for the first time in her life - then smiled, and cried when Dad turned off the music. She sat listening to the music for more than 30 minutes before stopping... her reaction made me feel hopeful and believe that we would succeed. The two of us began a new journey.
The “fight” to find a voice for my child was really hard. I put the device on him when he was 18 months old. He only said his first word at 25 months: Dad, and smiled when he answered. Then, at 32 months, he said more new words. At 5 years old, he could only say 4 or 5 words, and they were not fluent. There were some words that took us 7 months to say correctly... During that time, thanks to many people who loved him, played with him, and talked to him, he spoke better and better.
I still remember the day you took the 10th grade entrance exam, the homeroom teacher, out of concern for you, advised me to fill out a profile and declare that you were hearing impaired to get 2 priority points for the disabled. But I was still determined: "I'd rather fail the exam and retake it a few times than get those 2 pity points." And the result was that you took the high school entrance exam with a proud score of 27.5.
And now my daughter is a chubby, nearsighted, but strong, independent and loving 10th grade student, especially looking so cute in the traditional ao dai, starting to have boys asking about her, starting to tell me about the first "storms" of her dreamy 15 years old life...".

On her personal Facebook, Meritorious Artist Hanh Thuy and her daughter Phan Thuy Anh have very cute interactions, taking photos together, making funny comments, she even calls Thuy Anh "a shoulder, a solid support". Thuy Anh's strength makes her no longer shy about what happened in the past. "Yes! I faced it, so why can't you, Mom? While your child has been so successful!!!".
Currently, Thuy Anh continues to be an active and strong girl when participating in many adventurous games, such as: death swing, basketball, mountain climbing... Thuy Anh is living a normal life like everyone else and achieving the desired victories just as she and her daughter dreamed. Hanh Thuy has also given birth to a second baby, lovely and healthy.
