Actor Quoc Cuong, U50, has no wife or children, lives outside of showbiz

In the movieRevenge, Quoc Cuong plays the villain Chin Lang - a scheming, cunning man. He is one of the targets pursued by the main character and the police.

The work marks his return to the small screen after a period of focusing on cinema. Quoc Cuong said that he now has more choices for roles. The actor has passed the time of having to compete for fame and the pressure of making a living.

“My career is not exactly successful, but I have a loving audience and just enough fame. At this stage, I am just looking for good roles, whether main or supporting is not important,” he said.

Quoc Cuong carefully considers each project invitation. He asks for the script in advance to research the character, discuss with the director and crew. The actor wants his appearance on screen, even if it is short, to bring a certain value.

Off screen, Quoc Cuong has a private life. In his 20 years in the profession, the actor has few close relationships in the profession. Apart from his two close friends in real life, Tang Thanh Ha and Than Thuy Ha, he occasionally meets only a few colleagues.

“I think conservatively, not following the majority. This is disadvantageous, causing me to lose many opportunities and relationships to develop. But I think each person has a different personality and color, the important thing is to find it suitable and fun,” he said.

Besides acting, Quoc Cuong's main joy now is volunteering. Over the past few years, he and a few friends have created a program500K Journey.The actor traveled around Saigon and the countryside to help the disadvantaged and needy.

The actor used to have many worries and concerns. But after the pandemic and a trip to India, he completely changed his thinking. Quoc Cuong became more positive, with the concept of "living to give", instead of always hoping to "receive". He finds joy in helping people in need, feeling their smiles and tears.

After many years of being single, without a wife or children, have you ever longed for a home of your own?, Quoc Cuong feels happy with his current life. Therefore, the actor has no intention of getting married.

“For me, peace is happiness. I don’t need to take on any more roles. Sometimes there are obligations and responsibilities, and I can’t do them well. If I keep trying, sometimes it turns out badly,” he said.

Living alone, Quoc Cuong still feels happy and full of energy. Every day, he is busy with work. In his free time, he gathers with friends for coffee and chats.

He is also conscious of maintaining a toned, healthy body through martial arts, jogging, gym... Thanks to that, Quoc Cuong is praised as one of the most stylish middle-aged male actors on Vietnamese screens at the present time.
