(Baonghean) - The 2015 Doremi program, a large and beneficial playground for children aged 5 to 8 nationwide, is gradually coming to an end. Among the 6 contestants who made it to the second round of the finals, VTV viewers across the country were very impressed with a simple, confident little girl from Nghe An - Diep Nhi. Relatives, neighbors, and friends proudly call Diep Nhi "the Doremi girl".

As the second daughter in a small family in Dong Hong hamlet, Dong Hieu commune (Thai Hoa town), where neither parent pursued a career in the arts, Diep Nhi showed a talent for singing from a young age. However, compared to their difficult living conditions, their daughter's success on such a large stage was an immense joy for her parents. Diep Nhi's father, Tran Minh Tuan, emotionally said: “During the qualifying rounds, because I was serving in the military, I couldn't closely supervise her. I let the two of them go alone, even though I had never been to the city before, so I was worried. Yet, she remained very confident. We were surprised and truly proud of her.”

At the age of 8, with her petite and lively figure, Diep Nhi will be entering the 3rd grade at Dong Hieu Primary School next school year. Visiting her study area, we learned that she is not only a talented and enthusiastic singer, but also a diligent and excellent student. Despite facing many disadvantages compared to other contestants in the competition, such as not being able to participate in clubs or even perform on a small stage, Diep Nhi still showed no signs of inferiority. In a conversation with us, the innocent little girl confided: “When I made it to the top 6 of the national Do Re Mi competition, my mother and I cried. Whether I win first place or not, I'm still very happy. I want to thank my parents for letting me participate in such a big competition so I could meet so many friends, and they all sing so well.”

Preparing to enter the final round, Diệp Nhi's only "teacher" was a computer with internet access that her parents had painstakingly bought for her to research, listen, and learn on her own. However, this didn't diminish Diệp Nhi's confidence, because she felt the love and support everyone had for her. For many people in this rural area, the fact that a child participated in the Doremi competition was already a remarkable achievement, and reaching the top 6 in the final round was truly a miracle! Ms. Nguyễn Thị Chính, a Youth Union official in Đông Hiếu commune, said: "During our work with the local Youth Union and Children's Union, we've known many talented children, but we never thought about sending them to participate in such large-scale competitions. Therefore, Diệp Nhi's success today may be the inspiration for many other families to confidently create opportunities for their children to showcase their talents in larger competitions."

In just a few days (until July 21st), Diep Nhi will represent the children of Ho Chi Minh's hometown in the third round of the national Do Re Mi competition, competing against five other children to get closer to the championship title. Let's show her love, continue to support her, and wish her the confidence she needs!
