The mysterious and nostalgic James Bond film "Spectre".
The opening credits for the 24th installment of the classic spy blockbuster series reveal a mystical atmosphere, transporting viewers back to the original James Bond experience.
The first teaser for "Spectre"
.
The first teaser for the 24th James Bond blockbuster, Spectre, was released on March 27th. Throughout the one-and-a-half-minute trailer, there are no explosive action scenes, motorcycle or car chases, or spectacular fight sequences. However, the film's violent and dark atmosphere is palpable in this teaser.
The film's teaser begins with James Bond receiving a mysterious message from his past, forcing him to relive his earlier life and investigate the long-standing global criminal and terrorist organization, Spectre. In the original novels by Ian Fleming from the 1960s, Spectre was the first terrorist organization that 007 had to confront. In the new installment, James Bond is also hesitant about his position within the organization. It seems that James Bond may very well be a double agent, a possibility partially revealed in the new footage.
The James Bond image in the movie poster shows the character dressed like Bond from the 1970s, in Live and Let Die (1973). The atmosphere of the clip also suggests that Spectre may well blend realism and transcendence, as was the case in You Only Live Twice (1967) or A View to A Kill (1985).
The film's teaser also reveals that James Bond must face an alliance of enemies. In addition to the long-standing Spectre organization, Mr. White – the mastermind from Quantum of Solace and Casino Royale – also returns. He tells Bond in the new trailer: "You're just a kite dancing in a storm." It's possible that the Quantum terrorist organization, led by the villain Mr. White, will ally with Spectre to destroy MI6 and Bond.

| The new James Bond film will be nostalgic and mysterious. |
Forbes asserts that the success of the 007 series is partly due to its ability to absorb popular action films from each decade. Live and Let Die (1973) absorbed the popular elements of the vibrant Black-themed films of that decade. Moonraker (1979) absorbed the science fiction aesthetic of Star Wars. License to Kill absorbed the muscle-bound action elements of the 1980s. Up until Skyfall (2012), Bond incorporated digital elements. The latest installment will be distinctly Bond, with a nostalgic and mysterious feel.
The new film also marks a change in the role of Agent M. Since Skyfall, Judi Dench has suffered vision impairment and is no longer able to portray the head of the British intelligence agency MI6. In Spectre, M is a white male, played by Ralph Fiennes. Additionally, Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained, Inglourious Basterds) plays Oberhauser, considered a new villain. Dave Dautista (Guardians of the Galaxy) appears in the film as a stylish and sophisticated assassin.
Bond's two leading ladies, Léa Seydoux and Monica Bellucci, haven't appeared much in the new teaser. Director Sam Mendes' film will be released on October 23rd in the UK and November 6th in North America, worldwide, and Vietnam.
