The organizations authorized to hold the rally, parade, and march commemorating the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam are the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam; the National Assembly, the President, and the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; and the city of Hanoi.

According to the plan, the rally, parade, and march commemorating the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam will take place from 7:00 AM on September 2, 2015, in the Ba Dinh Square area and several streets in Hanoi.

The organization of rallies, parades, and marches commemorating the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam aims to affirm the position, great stature, and immense historical value of the August Revolution and the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in the history of the nation's struggle for national liberation and defense; to educate revolutionary ideals, patriotic traditions, national pride and self-respect, and the spirit of national unity; and to express profound gratitude to the generations who sacrificed their lives and blood for the independence and unification of the Fatherland.

In addition, the event aims to showcase the strength and great achievements of the country; to encourage the entire Party, people, and army to successfully implement the Resolution of the 11th National Congress of the Party; and to compete in achieving accomplishments to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels, leading up to the 12th National Congress of the Party.
