Adjusting the Project to restore and embellish the relic of the Church and Tomb of Ho Tung Mau

(Baonghean.vn) - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued Official Dispatch No. 1747/MinistryCulture, Sports, Tourism, and Cultural Services,agreed to adjust the scale, change and supplement a number of construction items under the Project to restore and embellish the relic of Ho Tung Mau Church and Tomb in Quynh Doi commune, Quynh Luu district of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee.

The memorial house of revolutionary predecessor Ho Tung Mau was built with a total area of ​​1,208.66m2; including main items: Church and worship house, memorial house, yard, gate, fence, flower pots, fish pond, gold burning tank... built in the premises of the National Historical Relic of Cu An Church, restoration of Ho Tung Mau's tomb with an area of ​​104m2.

The total cost of the project is over 17,523 billion VND, invested by Quynh Luu District People's Committee; by the Cultural Construction and Preservation Joint Stock Company; the construction unit is the Fine Arts Company and Phuong Thao Construction Company. The project was started to commemorate the great contributions to the nation of comrade Ho Tung Mau, to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Ho Tung Mau's birth on June 15, 2016.

According to the plan, by March 20, 2016, the project will be completed and put into use. This will be an important historical site of Quynh Doi commune, a place to visit, study and research the life and revolutionary career of comrade Ho Tung Mau and a red address to educate the revolutionary tradition for the young generation.

During the project implementation, it is necessary to adjust some items accordingly such as adjusting the scale of the Mausoleum; adding a Management Board house; access road to the Relic Site and parking lot.

After consideration, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism basically agreed with the proposal of the People's Committee of Nghe An province on adjusting the scale, changing and supplementing a number of construction items in the project to restore and embellish the relic of Ho Tung Mau Church and tomb.

For the memorial house category, the restoration and change of scale of the construction needs to be calculated based on the inherent scale of the construction; the number of artifacts, display capacity and worship content at the construction.

Adjusting the scale, changing and adding some construction items of the project to restore and embellish the relic of Ho Tung Mau's Church must be documented according to regulations and submitted to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for appraisal before implementation.
