What happens to the body when you eat too much fast food?
A diet high in fat and sugar, such as fast food, can negatively impact the immune system, mimicking the state of inflammation in the body.
The study was conducted by German scientists on mice. Even when the mice were returned to a normal diet, their immune systems initially reacted as if they were still infected, according to the study.Medical Daily.

| Eating too much sugary, fatty food and too little fiber can cause the immune system to react as if it's inflamed. |
An unhealthy diet with too much sugar and fat and too little fiber caused a large number of immune cells to appear in the blood of the experimental mice, said scientist Anette Christ, one of the members of the research team at the University of Bonn (Germany).
After returning to a healthy diet, the mice's bodies no longer reacted as if they had an infection. However, their immune systems became more sensitive to the high-fat and high-sugar diet. This means the immune system reacted again when the body consumed a lot of fat and sugar, according toMedical Daily.
Scientists note that an overstimulated immune system can lead to undesirable health consequences, such as an increased risk of diabetes and cardiovascular problems.
The research team recommends educating children on how to choose foods that are good for their health, especially helping them control their eating habits that involve foods high in fat and sugar.
