Little-known facts about the police lieutenant who attracted attention in the movie 'Journey to Justice'

Trung Tuan's real name is Do Cong Tuan (born in 1997). Before coming toJourney of justice, Trung Tuan had the opportunity to participate in the television actor training class of the Television Drama Production Center, Vietnam Television.

Trung Tuan graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Cinema. In 2020, he participated in the National Young Drama Actor Talent Competition and won the Silver Medal. Trung Tuan has also just been admitted to the Master's program in Theater Arts at Hanoi University of Theatre and Cinema, to continue improving his professional skills to pursue his passion for acting.

What chance brought you to the role of Lieutenant Phuc in the movie "Journey of Justice"?

- Talk aboutJourney of justice, I must thank Ms. Diep Production Organization for taking the time to contact and give me the opportunity to audition for this project. Thanks to that, I was able to meet Meritorious Artist, Director Nguyen Mai Hien, who is also the main person responsible for casting for the film.

It was also a blessing for me when I finally got the chance to play this role. I felt really lucky and happy and told myself that I must always try my best for the role.

As soon as you entered the screen, you immediately attracted attention with your handsome appearance in the image of a police lieutenant. Were you surprised?

- After the first episodes I appeared, I received a lot of comments from the audience: There were many compliments and suggestions to improve myself.

I feel very surprised, happy and lucky to be accepted and cared for by the audience so much even though my role is small and I don't appear much. I consider it a motivation and hope that I will have more big opportunities to try to show myself more in the future.

From here, you also start to feel famous and have more female fans?

- After the broadcast, I received a lot of encouragement and love from everyone. One day, when I went out, many uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters recognized me and said: "Are you acting in a movie?"Journey of justiceAre not?

"Is this a police officer?"... Those are very interesting feelings and I am grateful for everyone's encouragement.

Vietnamese cinema has seen actors tailor-made to play the role of police officers. Do you think you will also be successful with this role? Or will the audience only remember you as a "male god" or a hot boy in movies?

- I still have a lot to learn. This is my first time playing a police officer so I am quite unfamiliar and feel a lot of pressure when having to express the strong, resolute voice and the serious, sharp attitude of an investigator.

I am trying every day to complete my role well. I also have to thank Meritorious Artist, Director Nguyen Mai Hien, and the crew for their support and love so that I can complete my role completely. I hope that the role of Senior Lieutenant Dang Hong Phuc will continue to be welcomed by the audience.

What are your memories of filming "Journey to Justice"?

- During the filming, because I had just arrived in Hanoi, I was not used to the weather so I got sick and had eye pain. But the director was attentive and wholeheartedly taught me so that I could complete the role of a police officer well. Thanks to everyone's help and love, I felt the working atmosphere was always happy and comfortable. I think not only me but everyone in the crew felt the attachment and affection for the film.

What style and image do you want to build in the hearts of the audience and aim for: Romantic handsome guy or cool, masculine?

- I believe that any actor wants to leave a polite and elegant image in the eyes of the audience. However, I will not limit myself to a certain framework or role. I always orient myself to bring the audience diverse and colorful roles. I hope the audience will always see a Trung Tuan who is always innovative and ready to challenge himself when given the opportunity.

Do you intend to become a model or MC?

- I don't know what the future will be like, but for now, I just want to focus all my energy on acting, finding even the smallest opportunities for myself to do my best at what I think I'll be best at, which is acting.

Modeling and MCing are also attractive and interesting fields. I think I will study more and improve myself to become a more versatile artist in the future.

VFC is a launching pad for many actors to become more famous. But it is also harsh when the film is shown on national television, just one mistake will encounter mixed reactions from public opinion. What do you think about this?

- I believe that when working, you must put professional ethics above all else. Just live right, live well with yourself and society. When I have the opportunity to become famous and be accepted by the public, my statements and shares will require a lot of thought and attention.

Right now, I am not thinking about fame and glory. I am still trying, working hard every day, trying for myself, for the people I love. Being able to live and work is already very happy.

Behind the halo of the art stage, there are inevitably many temptations and scandals. And many young people want to become famous by creating scandals. What is your opinion?

- Everyone has their own thoughts and opinions. For me, I always aim to try to improve myself every day. I want to prove my ability to everyone and be recognized by the audience for my own talent.

I will try my best, constantly improve and continue to pursue the path of becoming a professional actor.

Along with my current acting career, I am also pursuing a master's degree at the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema. I will have more interesting projects in the near future, but I would like to keep them a secret and will reveal them to the audience at the right time. Hopefully, next year, everyone will welcome my new image.

Many people wonder behind your handsome appearance, what is your background?

- I was born into a traditional family where both my parents were farmers. There were six children in the family, so our circumstances were very difficult. However, my parents tried to let my sisters and I go to university and have stable jobs. After graduating from high school, I majored in economics at the University of Economics according to my family's wishes. However, my passion for acting from a young age continued to urge me and I decided to pursue my dream.

What about your girlfriend? Can you share?

- At the moment, I just want to focus on my career, study and gain more acting skills and experience. If fate comes, I will accept it and use it as motivation to become better and better.
