Dieu Linh and Huynh Chau won tickets to the 2012 Olympics
On November 27, the Vietnamese taekwondo team successfully won two tickets to the 2012 Olympics for Chu Hoang Dieu Linh (under 67kg women) and Le Huynh Chau (under 58kg men) in the qualifying round that just ended in Thailand.
Dieu Linh soon asserted her strength with consecutive victories over Suhal (Sri Lanka) and Manita Sahi (Nepal) to reach the final. Although she lost to boxer Sousan (Iran) in the gold medal match, Dieu Linh still won a ticket to the 2012 Olympics.
In the men's under-58kg category, Huynh Chau defeated Malaysian opponent Ryan Chong to win the bronze medal and the last ticket of this category to London next year.
