According to the report, Ms. Pham Thi Van (63 years old, residing in Dak Wer) rented a house in Kien Thanh commune to work as a babysitter.

At 3:00 p.m. on December 25, Mrs. Van discovered that the boy had gone to the toilet, so she took him outside to the backyard to stand in a plastic water tank. At this time, Mrs. Van used a bamboo stick wrapped in cloth to clean him from his buttocks down to his feet. During the cleaning process, the boy cried, so the woman hit him once on the top of the head. Mrs. Van then grabbed the boy by the collar, carried him outside, and continued to hit him on the head.

“At the time of the incident, a passerby discovered it and recorded a clip and posted it online. After the incident, the District People's Committee directed the police and the People's Procuracy to coordinate with relevant agencies to examine the scene and investigate,” said the leader.

According to the leader of the Dak R'lap District People's Committee, at the investigation agency, Ms. Van confessed to beating the child. "The District People's Committee requested the district police to collect evidence to handle the case according to the provisions of the law. At the same time, it directed the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to coordinate with the Department of Education and Training and communes and towns to review all childcare centers in the area to avoid child abuse."

It is known that Ms. Van has been a babysitter for 12 years and has been at the location for over a year. At the time of the inspection, Ms. Van's babysitting location had 11 children sent to the family.
