Investigation into the case of illegal immigration to the UK
The police have discovered and are investigating and verifying specific cases of workers who died in the UK. From there, they can prosecute for the crime of "Illegally sending people abroad".

Confirmed 14 bodies in container in UK are workers from Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - Authorities confirmed that at least 14 bodies found in a container in the UK were workers from Nghe An.
Previously, Ha Tinh police had never discovered a human trafficking ring operating in the locality.

On October 27, the Ministry of Public Security sent people to coordinate with Ha Tinh Police to collect DNA from many parents who reported their children missing to send to England to verify whether they were on the list of 39 bodies.in the container discovered on October 23 or not.
"Most of them cooperated, some households have their own difficulties so they cannot provide complete information. Currently, I think we have to wait for the British authorities to announce to confirm whether there are Vietnamese people among the 39 bodies or not," said the Deputy Director of Ha Tinh Police.
By the end of October 28, Ha Tinh had 10 cases confirmed by families that their children were missing in the UK. They came from Thien Loc commune, Vinh Loc, Nghen town (Can Loc district), Dau Lieu ward (Hong Linh town), Cuong Gian commune (Nghi Xuan district).
In Nghe An, Colonel Le Khac Thuyet - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department said that the unit is focusing its forces to investigate whether or not there is a network of people being illegally transported to Europe. Currently, 14 families have reported that their relatives have lost contact in Europe and the UK.
The Ministry of Public Security has directed the Department of Investigation of Social Order Crimes to go to Ha Tinh and Nghe An to check and verify information about people who lost contact while working from France to the UK to serve the investigation according to professional requirements and international cooperation. The Ministry also directed to clarify whether or not there are individuals or organizations that illegally send Vietnamese people abroad.
In the early morning of October 23, the Essex County Ambulance Service, northeast of London, England, received a call reporting a gruesome discovery inside a container on a truck parked at the Waterglade Industrial Park in Grays. When paramedics opened the container, they discovered the bodies of 38 adults and one teenager, believed to be immigrants.
The Vietnamese Embassy in the UK is working with British police to verify information about the victims' nationalities.
