Suspending the publication of the book "disastrous" generals because the copy has not been submitted for deposit
The book caused controversy because of its illustrations of Vietnamese generals like in the Three Kingdoms game or Japanese comics, but was suspended for another reason.

Through press reports, the book Famous Generals in National History, authored by Nguyen Hoang Diep and edited by Duc Thong, published and released by the Culture and Information Publishing House, was discovered by the Department of Publishing, Printing and Distribution that the book had not been submitted for deposit.
In the official dispatch dated December 8, the Publishing Department requested the Culture and Information Publishing House: “One, suspend the publication of the book and explain the publication and distribution of the above book. Two, submit copies for deposit according to the provisions of law. Three, send a written report to the Publishing Department before December 18, 2014.”
Previously, the press reported that this book had a series of illustrations of kings and famous generals such as Ngo Quyen, Le Chan, Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Hung Dao, Quang Trung, Bui Thi Xuan... in a naive, chaotic, and unsystematic way. The content of the book has not been verified, the book has 46 generals, one-third of the capacity is dedicated to General Vo Nguyen Giap.
