American MMA fighter Jon Jones' victory over Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 was officially revoked by the California State Athletic Commission because he tested positive for the banned substance Turinabol.

Jones bị tước đai vô địch và có thể đối mặt với án cấm thi đấu 4 năm.
Jones was stripped of his title and could face a four-year ban.

So the results of Jon Jones' two samples A and B taken during the pre-fight weigh-in confirmed that the UFC's number one fighter used a banned substance before defeating Cormier after 3 rounds at the end of July. Currently, Jones is working with the US Anti-Doping Agency to clarify the reason why he tested positive for Turinabol - a compound that helps increase the endurance of muscle groups.

As such, the California State Athletic Commission has decided to void Jones' victory at UFC 214, meaning that the light heavyweight championship belt will be awarded to Cormier. In addition to being stripped of the championship title, Jon Jones may also face a 4-year ban.

The youngest champion in UFC history, Jon Jones has never actually lost in the ring. But the 30-year-old is also known as "The Devil" or "The Weed Champion" because of his notorious partying, car racing, cursing at police, and even going to court after causing a hit-and-run accident.

This is the third time Jones has been stripped of his title by the UFC. Previously, in April 2015, Jones was stripped of his title and given an 18-month suspended sentence for causing a traffic accident and fleeing. In November 2016, Jones lost his interim light heavyweight title after USADA discovered a banned substance in his blood.

Jon Jones shared after his match at UFC 214: "At this point, all I want to do is be grateful for life giving me a chance to hold this championship belt again." However, he was unable to keep it after the results of the last two samples.
