After checking, the investigation agency determined that the person who caused the nail falling on the road was Mr. Phan Van Sang (born in 1987), residing in Nghi Quang commune, Nghi Loc, and invited Mr. Sang to the headquarters for questioning.

Initially, Mr. Sang said that on the morning of July 24, he was hired to transport some materials for plaster ceilings for people. The materials were placed on a homemade vehicle, attached to the back of a motorbike. During the move, the plastic bag containing the nails was torn, causing the nails to fall onto the road, but Mr. Sang did not know.

The incident of dropping nails on the road forced Mr. Sang to compensate the owner of the goods 1 million VND. “Through initial verification, this was Mr. Sang’s unintentional mistake. He and the authorities also checked and collected the nails scattered along the road,” said Major Nhan.

Công an huyện Nghi Lộc khẳng định, đoạn đường này chưa bao giờ xảy ra nạn đinh tặc.
Nghi Loc district police confirmed that nail thieves have never occurred on this road.

Major Nhan said: “This is an important route connecting Highway 1 to Cua Lo Port, with many vehicles such as cargo trucks, worker trucks, tourist cars, etc., so Nghi Loc District Police pay close attention and strictly control it. There has never been a nail theft incident on this route before.”

Currently, the Nghi Loc District Police investigation agency is continuing to verify to have appropriate handling direction.
