(Baonghean.vn) - The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced the list of the top 100 students with the highest university entrance exam scores nationwide. Among them, Nghe An has 3 candidates, and only 1 female candidate achieved 28 points. That is Dinh Thi Huyen Tram (a student in class 12A2, Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School).

Humbly, Tram admitted that she wasn't particularly outstanding compared to her classmates and schoolmates. For Tram, the good fortune was being born into a well-disciplined family, receiving attentive guidance and care from her mother, who was also her teacher. “My mother is a primary school teacher. From the moment I entered first grade, she tutored me, guided me in creating a reasonable schedule, and instilled discipline in me. Thanks to that, I quickly developed self-discipline, sat down at my desk on time, and became a good student at Truong Thi Primary School, achieving top student awards at the city and provincial levels. In secondary school, Tram was admitted to Dang Thai Mai Secondary School. During her four years of secondary school, Tram showed a talent for mathematics, achieving top student awards at the city level in mathematics and calculator-based problem-solving.”

“I chose to apply to Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted with the goal of interacting with academically gifted students. When I took the entrance exam, I wasn't confident in my abilities, so to be on the safe side, I registered for the Computer Science specialization.” Although it wasn't her “number one choice,” Tram was always aware that her goal was to get into a top-ten university. Tram's study method involved listening attentively to her teachers' lectures, mastering textbook knowledge, and practicing solving various types of exam questions.

“I only attend extra classes according to the school and class curriculum schedule. I don't go to cram schools, take extra classes outside of school, or hire private tutors. I think the most important thing is a scientific study method. Spending all day buried in books, only knowing how to study and nothing else, isn't necessarily good. Knowing how to balance studying and playing, and developing your thinking and logical skills, will make studying much more effective…” Tram enthusiastically participates in school and class activities, plays all her favorite sports, and is an excellent goalkeeper on the school's girls' soccer team. Tram's academic achievements are remarkable: she was a top student in Computer Science at the provincial level, with a GPA close to 9.0, and was an all-around excellent student at her school for three consecutive years. She scored a perfect 10 in all three subjects (Mathematics, Chemistry, and English) in the high school graduation exam. Notably, in this year's university entrance exam, Tram achieved an impressive score of 28 points (Mathematics: 9, Physics: 9.5, and Chemistry: 9.5) for the Corporate Finance department at the National Economics University. She is one of only three candidates and the only female student from Nghe An province to be among the top 100 highest-scoring university entrance exam candidates nationwide.
