Diva Hong Nhung reveals her will and wishes before she closes her eyes forever
Hong Nhung shares about her special birthday amidst her cancer battle, revealing that she wrote a will to have her ashes released into the Red River.
On her birthday, March 15, singer Hong Nhung shared emotional thoughts about the "most special birthday of her life" in the midst of her battle with illness.
"Birthdays are special because so many things happened at once that when I woke up this morning, I just wanted to open one eye," the singer wrote on her personal page. However, she still maintained a positive attitude: "Today is a new day. Please accept flowers, gifts, cards, and warm wishes with a more peaceful mind - thank you very much."

"I couldn't help but cry. There was sadness, nostalgia and gratitude! This was the big song, the first time I performed it, the last song in the nearly 3-hour long live concert," she shared.
The special thing Hong Nhung revealed in this post is her will and promise to Hanoi - the place associated with her career and love of music.
Initially, when sending the song to her, musician Luu Ha An ended the long poem with the line: "Oh Hanoi, I have returned". However, when they met to practice the piano part, Hong Nhung was surprised to see the musician change it to "Oh Hanoi, I will stay".
The singer revealed that 3 days before, she had made a will with the wish that when she closed her eyes forever, she would release a small handful of ashes into the Red River. "I saw the Red River and I knew, I would stay" - she wrote!

Hong Nhung first publicly announced her diagnosis of breast cancer on January 22, 2025. Initially, the singer kept the information a secret so as not to worry her colleagues who were working on music projects with her. However, after the surgery, she changed her mind and bravely shared her story with the public.
On March 8, the singer shared about her journey fighting breast cancer: "March this year is a special month - instead of being busy with performances and excitedly planning a birthday party, I entered an experience that shook both my body and spirit. The new journey began with horror and confusion, but at the same time opened up a deeper, more profound way of thinking about the value of life."
