Do Luong donates water purifiers to 10 households living in the landfill area

(Baonghean.vn) - On August 31, Do Luong district organized a ceremony to present water purifiers to households in hamlet 9, Hong Son commune.

The landfill in Hong Son commune is where waste from 12 communes and towns of Do Luong district and Do Luong General Hospital is collected.

Through a recent inspection and survey by the leaders of the District People's Committee on the current situation of this landfill, with the consent of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, this time, the District People's Committee presented 10 water filters worth 45 million VND to 10 households located outside the landfill, at risk of water pollution.

Supporting water purifiers to share difficulties with households during the time they have not yet moved out of the area.

In the coming time, the People's Committee of Do Luong district will conduct research on plans to relocate households out of the landfill area./.
