Former officer of the district's Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs was fined 3 million VND for illegally dumping garbage
For causing unsanitary conditions on public streets, the authorities fined the former officer of the district's Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs 3 million VND.
Previously, on the afternoon of November 19, a security camera recorded a man driving a car carrying many bags of trash to the Cau Hoi area (behind Hoi market, Cam Xuyen town, Ha Tinh) and then calmly throwing them in the middle of the road.
Mr. Tr. threw trash from his car in the middle of the road, causing a stir (photo cut from clip).
This clip was later posted on social media. Many people were outraged and said that this man's actions were offensive and showed no awareness of environmental protection.
Through verification, the man who dumped the trash was Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tr.
Mr. Nguyen Van Nam, Head of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Cam Xuyen district, said that Mr. Tr. was previously an officer of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of the district but retired early in 2015.
Regarding this incident, Mr. Hoang Van Chuong, Chairman of Cam Xuyen Town People's Committee, said that the town has investigated and decided to fine the man who drove the car and brought garbage to the middle of the road.
Accordingly, the authorities of Cam Xuyen town fined Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tr. 3 million VND for littering, causing unsanitary conditions on the streets and in public places.
