The silent cactus flower spreads its fragrance.

That is why we would like to mention Ms. Le Thi Quynh Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of Organization and Administration Department, Chairwoman of the Grassroots Trade Union of the Market Management Department of Nghe An province.

Hardship forges a loving heart

We went to the headquarters of the Market Management Department of Nghe An province to meet Ms. Le Thi Quynh Anh on a Spring afternoon of Quy Mao. Still busy with the same appearance but always with a smile on her lips, and although very busy with the early work of the year with unfinished documents, she still took the time to chat with us about the memories of her work associated with the development process of the Nghe An Market Management force in recent years.

Ms. Le Thi Quynh Anh was born and raised in Hung Linh commune, Hung Nguyen district. With many ambitions and enthusiasm, she chose to work in market management, a profession with a relatively unique working environment with many difficulties and challenges. She said, “Market management is not only difficult but also very hard work, sometimes facing danger. Many people told me that as a girl, I should choose an easy job. But it is truly “fate”, even though later on there will be many better career opportunities for me, I still love the job and stick with it with all my heart... Fighting smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods, protecting the local market seems to always be present, deeply engraved in our hearts to urge us in all our tasks”.

With 30 years in the profession, through ups and downs, she must be someone who understands the industry and the profession very well... We heard her confide about her initial confusion and unfamiliarity as a young inspector, a dynamic Secretary of the Youth Union, receiving enthusiastic guidance from her senior comrades and colleagues as well as her own efforts, overcoming hardships and maturing over the years.

With a serious working spirit, a pure and simple lifestyle, and good ethics, Ms. Le Thi Quynh Anh has always been trusted and highly appreciated by her superiors and colleagues. Since joining the unit, she has always been aware that she needs to study and try harder in her professional work as well as in movement activities to complete not only well but also excellently the tasks assigned by her superiors.

It can be said that Ms. Le Thi Quynh Anh's working process up to now is a series of days of non-stop efforts. Now that she has a position in the unit, her working style is still the same; still passionate, enthusiastic, always working with a bright mind with a "hot heart" and a "cool head". "Hot heart" to love, to share, to go deep, to grasp and understand the lives, thoughts, aspirations, and feelings of subordinates. "Cool head" here is not an indifferent head but is the alertness, clarity, and determination to defend correct viewpoints and positions, from which to propose solutions that are emotional, reasonable, convincing, fair, and upright in order to carry out and complete well all tasks assigned by the Party and the People.

In the past time, in the Party building work as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Department, she and the Party Committee have closely followed the Resolutions, leadership and direction of the Party Committee of the upper level to effectively implement tasks and solutions to improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and Party members; to build a clean and strong Party Committee of the Market Management Department of Nghe An province.

In her professional work, she and the unit's leadership team directed the Market Management Teams to strengthen the management of the area, prevent "hot spots" and outstanding issues from arising in the market, stabilize the social security situation, especially after nearly 5 years since the transformation of the force's operating model according to the vertical sector, the Market Management Ordinance was issued, consolidating the legal status and creating many strong changes. Since 2018, Nghe An Market Management force has handled nearly23,000 violationswith the total value of fines reaching nearly70 billion VND, has always been a province that has excellently completed assigned political tasks and is the leading flag in emulation movements launched by the General Department of Market Management.

As Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union, she and the Executive Committee have regularly innovated trade union activities, focused on protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, cared for vulnerable groups in society, maintained internal solidarity, and contributed to building the unit to increasingly develop and meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Impressions from outstanding achievements

With the above efforts and important contributions, Ms. Le Thi Quynh Anh has been awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level for many consecutive years, the title of Emulation Fighter at the ministerial level in 2019, received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2018, received many Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Industry and Trade, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for her outstanding achievements in work, was honored as a typical advanced worker of Nghe An province in the period 2015-2020, and was awarded the title "Good at public work, good at housework" by the Vietnam Confederation of Labor in 2020.

The Organization and Administration Department under her leadership has always completed its assigned tasks excellently, received a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and in 2021 was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister. She herself has had many innovative solutions and experiences related to administrative reform, applying information technology in practice to improve the quality of public service activities.

The valuable awards that the Party and the State have given her are the recognition given to her throughout her working career of Ms. Le Thi Quynh Anh. But what her colleagues and comrades admire most about her is her human sentiment from her charitable activities of great humanity. Colleagues in the Market Management Department of Nghe An province often join her in charitable activities, to feel the value of life, to see the lives of those who are more difficult than their own, to help them, to have more motivation and faith in life.

Those were the cold and rainy days of winter, when Ms. Le Thi Quynh Anh and her colleagues went to support the front lines in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic with the spirit of "Fighting the pandemic like fighting the enemy"; the times when they crossed mountains and waded through streams, regardless of danger, to help people in the communes of the mountainous district of Ky Son affected by flash floods and landslides; the hot and humid summer months, when they sold dozens of tons of lychees for "non-profit" to support people in Bac Giang; and many volunteer activities during the Tet holiday...

Some people say that in today's market economy, amidst the hustle and bustle of life, people seem to live in a hurry, are indifferent and care less about each other; however, good people and good deeds always exist, created by the small people around us. It can be said that Ms. Le Thi Quynh Anh's example to her colleagues is her kindness, her constant efforts and attempts for the less fortunate and incomplete fates of her life. She just quietly shines, spreads...

As at this moment, our conversation was interrupted by her phone ringing, she had to continue her work to prepare for an unexpected meeting tomorrow. Saying goodbye to her, the melodies of the song "Lang trong vuon doi" by musician Do Bao rang out on her laptop.Joys and sorrows of everyday life, I work as a market manager, Have I ever been hesitant, have I ever sown words of lamentation…"; we wish you good health to always be a "Quynh Huong" flower quietly spreading its fragrance and color to life.
