Delegation of Lao Ministry of National Defense officials visited and worked in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 28, a delegation of officials from the Ministry of National Defense of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, led by Lieutenant Colonel Kham Sinh Phan Tha Vong - Strategy Department, Department of Military History Science, Lao Ministry of National Defense, visited and worked with the Military Command of Nghe An province.

Attending the working session were representatives of the Vietnam Ministry of National Defense's Institute of Strategy and representatives of the General Staff of Military Region 4. Colonel Tran Nguyen Duong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command and heads of departments and offices received and worked with the delegation.

At the working session, Colonel Tran Nguyen Duong introduced to the delegation of Laotian Ministry of National Defense officials the results of socio-economic development associated with the task of building a national defense posture with people's security posture in the province; the results of defense diplomacy of Nghe An province's armed forces with neighboring Laotian provinces sharing the border (Hua Phan, Xieng Khouang, Bolykhamsay) in the past time.

Lieutenant Colonel Kham Sinh Phan Tha Vong, on behalf of the strategic research delegation of the Lao Ministry of National Defense, expressed his joy at being able to visit and study in Nghe An province - the hometown of beloved President Ho Chi Minh.

He emphasized that the results of the work in Nghe An province are important theoretical and practical knowledge for the delegation to continue to study and propose applications to improve the quality of performing local military and defense tasks in Laos; continue to deepen the solidarity and friendship between the two armies in particular and the relationship between Vietnam and Laos in general in the new situation./.
