Delegation of Veterans Association officials from the Central Organizing Committee offered incense at the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs Cemetery

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 22, on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, a delegation of the Veterans Association of the Central Organizing Committee visited and offered flowers and incense at the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs Cemetery and presented gifts to a number of policy families in Anh Son district.

Comrade Do Duc Trung - Deputy Director of the Internal Political Security Department, Permanent Vice President of the Veterans Association of the Central Organizing Committee headed the delegation. Accompanying him were representatives of the Veterans Associations of the Central Organizing Committee.

On the side of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, there was comrade Ho Dang Tai - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Veterans Association; comrades representing the specialized departments of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee.

On the side of Anh Son district, there were comrades: Nguyen Huu Sang - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council; Hoang Quyen - Chairman of the People's Committee of Anh Son district.

At the Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery, comrade Do Duc Trung and the delegation respectfully offered incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial; laid wreaths and offered incense at the Monument to Heroic Martyrs, expressing deep gratitude to the outstanding children across the country who fought bravely for the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland, for the noble international duty.

The Vietnam - Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery is home to the graves of more than 11,000 martyrs, including officers, volunteer soldiers and military experts who died on the battlefield in Laos.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 20 gifts to 20 families of war invalids and sick soldiers in Anh Son district. Each gift included 1 million VND in cash and 1 bag of medicine, with a total value of more than 40 million VND.

Comrade Do Duc Trung kindly inquired about the health of wounded and sick soldiers, affirming that the Party, State and People will never forget the great contributions and sacrifices of heroic martyrs, meritorious people and families of policy beneficiaries in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; hoping that comrades and their families will take care of their health, continue to educate their children and grandchildren to preserve and promote revolutionary traditions, and contribute to building an increasingly civilized and prosperous homeland and country.
