The delegation of Nghe An province came to offer incense at the President Ho Chi Minh relic site in Nong Hang village, Xieng Phin commune, Udonthani province, Kingdom of Thailand. Here, in 1928, Nguyen Ai Quoc returned from Europe to Udonthani to work, consolidate the organization, and build the revolutionary movement under the alias Thau Chin. |
To commemorate him and to strengthen the friendly relationship between Thailand and Vietnam, in 2002 the Ho Chi Minh relic site was restored and upgraded by the Vietnamese State, the Udon provincial government and the Vietnamese expatriates here. Currently, on average, the relic site welcomes 1,000 visitors per month. |

Nghe An province delegation offered incense to commemorate his great merit. |
Visiting the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House, the delegates listened to the overseas Vietnamese here tell stories about his years of activities in Thailand. From Udonthani, he expanded the organization to the provinces of Southern, Central and Northeastern Thailand. |
The Memorial House still preserves many valuable relics, such as the first revolutionary newspaper that the Founder founded on Thai soil. |
And especially, there are many photos and souvenirs telling about the feelings of Vietnamese people living in Thailand for him and for their homeland. This is a photo of a Vietnamese family living in Udonthani mourning for Uncle Ho for 100 days in 1969. |
The delegation visited the thatched house that he built to live and carry out revolutionary activities. |
The Thai people here considered him the “Village Guardian Spirit”. At this thatched house, he taught overseas Vietnamese to read the national language and invited Thai people to teach Thai. |
During his time working here, he was greatly loved and respected by the Thai people and overseas Vietnamese, and left a deep mark on this land. He guided the people to do business by establishing sawmills. |
And teach overseas Vietnamese to dig wells to get clean water for daily use instead of using river water or spring water. |
Comrade Le Minh Thong wrote emotional lines of remembrance when visiting the relic site, right in the place where Uncle Ho used to work. |
On behalf of the delegation, comrade Le Minh Thong thanked the people of Udon province and overseas Vietnamese for their affection and efforts in building and taking care of the relic site, so that this place becomes a sacred stop for any Vietnamese person coming to Udon and every tourist coming to Thailand. |
