High-ranking delegation of Vientiane Capital visited and worked with Military Region 4
On the morning of May 13, the High-Level Delegation of Vientiane Capital (Laos) visited and worked with Military Region 4. Comrade Anouphap Tounalom - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Region I, Vientiane Capital led the delegation.

Accompanying him were comrades: Lamphoy Siackhachan - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Capital People's Council; Sililaththongsin Thongpenh - Vice Mayor of the Capital; leaders of the Office of the Capital People's Council, the Office of the Capital Government, and departments and branches of the Capital Vientiane.
Receiving the delegation, on the side of Military Region 4 were Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Commander of the Military Region; Major General Doan Xuan Buong - Standing Member of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Military Region and leaders of Military Region 4.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrades: Phung Thanh Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Khanh Thuc - Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

At the meeting, Comrade Anouphap Tounalom - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Region I, Vientiane Capital sincerely thanked the warm welcome of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Command of Military Region 4, and at the same time, highly appreciated the support of the armed forces of Military Region 4 for the border provinces in general and Vientiane Capital in particular.

The Military Region units have performed well in their tasks of helping Lao localities and units develop socio-economy, strengthen national defense and security, build strong Party and government organizations, and contribute to consolidating the relationship, solidarity, friendship, and special traditions between Vietnam and Laos in the new period.
Comrade Anouphap Tounalom also informed about the socio-economic development results and outstanding activities taking place in the capital in recent times. At the same time, he informed about changes in development policies and outstanding events of the Lao PDR in 2025.


In the coming time, the Secretary of Vientiane Capital hopes that the armed forces of Military Region 4 will continue to closely coordinate with the provinces sharing the border to ensure good political security in the border area, create favorable conditions for socio-economic development in the border area, and contribute to building deeper solidarity and friendship between the two Parties, States, Armies and peoples of the two countries.
At the meeting, the Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Region I, Vientiane Capital, announced some results of the meeting with leaders of Nghe An province on May 12.

On behalf of the officers and soldiers of the armed forces of Military Region 4, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh - Secretary of the Party Committee and Commander of the Military Region sincerely thanked the delegation for taking the time to visit the officers and soldiers of the armed forces of the Military Region, and congratulated the socio-economic development results that the capital Vientiane has achieved in recent times.

Currently, Military Region 4 has a border line with a total length of more than 1,300km, adjacent to 7 provinces of Laos. The Military Region has signed a coordination charter with the provinces and the capital Vientiane and annually organizes annual conferences to report, inform the results of cooperation and learn from and exchange experiences with each other. In particular, the Military Region has also advised the provinces to sign a coordination charter between villages, communes, districts, and provinces along the border. From there, a stable and developed border line is formed.

In addition, the Military Region has coordinated with Lao localities to crack down on major drug trafficking cases; preventing bad guys from infiltrating to sabotage the friendship and solidarity between Laos and Vietnam. The Military Region has coordinated with the authorities of border provinces to build village clusters, medical stations, and schools, and hand them over on time.
Comrade Ha Tho Binh - Secretary of the Party Committee and Commander of Military Region 4 congratulated the achievements of Vientiane Capital in the past time. Notably, on April 28, during his visit and work in Vietnam, attending the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, General Secretary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith led a high-ranking delegation of the Lao Party and State to visit Military Region 4. This is a special attention of the Lao Party and State to the armed forces of Military Region 4.

In the coming time, with special friendship, Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh pledged that the armed forces of Military Region 4 will continue to coordinate with the authorities of Lao provinces in maintaining national defense and security, and developing the socio-economy in the localities. At the same time, he hoped that the Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Region I, Vientiane Capital will continue to create favorable conditions for cooperative units, especially the collection team currently working in Laos, to complete their tasks.
