Delegation of Lao Youth Union paid a courtesy visit to provincial leaders

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized at the meeting with the delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union who paid a courtesy visit on the afternoon of October 30 on the occasion of visiting Vietnam and attending the event "Following the footsteps of Vietnamese - Lao leaders 2017".

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam in general and Nghe An province in particular always pay special attention and create the most favorable conditions for the youth of the two countries to enhance exchanges and cooperation.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son said that the provincial leaders highly agreed with the program "Following the footsteps of leaders" of the Youth Union of Vietnam - Laos and were honored to be one of the localities hosting activities within the framework of the program.

Currently, there are nearly 400 Lao students studying at universities and colleges in Nghe An province.

This will be an opportunity for union members, youth and students of the two countries in general and Nghe An province in particular to exchange, connect and understand more deeply the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed: "Vietnam - Laos love is not only the strength for us to defeat foreign invaders to gain independence but also a great strength for our two peoples to protect and build the country in the coming time".

He hoped that in the coming time, the traditional friendship and special cooperation between Nghe An in particular and between Vietnam and Laos in general will be increasingly developed to new heights.

"I hope the younger generation will continue to promote tradition and nurture the Vietnam - Laos friendship to be forever green and sustainable" - Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son emphasized.

Comrade Samlan Phan Kha Vong also expressed his gratitude for the valuable support that the Party, State, people of Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union have always given to the Party, State and people of Laos as well as the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union over the past time; at the same time, he promised to do his best to continue to contribute to strengthening and further promoting the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos in general, and Nghe An with Laos in particular.

He said that the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union has carried out many activities to contribute to strengthening the Vietnam-Laos friendship in recent times; at the same time, educating the younger generation to always promote and continue the good traditions, nurturing the Vietnam-Laos youth relationship.
