Nghe An delegation will visit Truong Sa archipelago and DK1 platform
On the afternoon of April 29, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Navy held a conference to disseminate and assign tasks to working group No. 16 to visit Truong Sa archipelago and DK1 platform on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification.

Attending the conference were Colonel Nguyen Van Quan - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Naval Region 2, Head of Working Group No. 16, along with more than 200 delegates from localities, agencies, units, businesses, reporters, artists, union members and youth across the country.
The Nghe An Provincial Delegation consists of 35 members (including 12 delegates from the Nghe An Provincial National Assembly Delegation), including comrades: Bui Dinh Long - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Delegation; Nguyen Van Chi - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee, Deputy Head of the Delegation, and representatives of the Party Building Committees of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, provincial units and a number of districts and cities.

The delegates were informed of some contents related to the plan and regulations of the working trip; disseminated information and propaganda content and ensured security and safety throughout the journey; and launched a contest to learn about the tradition of "The sea and islands of the Fatherland and the heroic Vietnam People's Navy".
Working Group No. 16 will depart on April 30 and complete the trip on May 6. During this time, the group will visit, encourage and give gifts to officers, soldiers and people working and living on 6 islands of Truong Sa archipelago and DK-1 platform.


This is a meaningful and practical activity to affirm the spirit of solidarity, deep concern and sharing of the home front for the soldiers and people on the remote islands. The working trip contributes to timely encouragement and motivation for officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy to overcome all difficulties and challenges, stand firm at the forefront, firmly protect the sovereignty of the sea, islands and sacred continental shelf of the Fatherland.
