The National Assembly delegation worked with the leaders of Nghe An province.

(Baonghean)In preparation for the second session of the 13th National Assembly, scheduled to open on October 20, 2011 in Hanoi, this afternoon, October 10, the delegation of National Assembly representatives from Nghe An province, led by Mr. Pham Van Tan – Deputy Head of the delegation, held a working session with the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and several provincial departments and agencies.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, worked with the delegation.

It can be said that, despite numerous difficulties caused by natural disasters, weather, epidemics, rising prices, and especially the implementation of Government Resolution 11 on curbing inflation, stabilizing the macroeconomy, and ensuring social security, all levels and sectors have focused on decisive leadership, direction, and management to ensure the maintenance of socio-economic development, national defense, and security in the province.

During the meeting, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments requested the National Assembly delegation to provide the Government with financial support to Nghe An province to repair infrastructure damaged by typhoons No. 2 and No. 3, as well as the prolonged heavy rains in September. They also requested an increase in counterpart funding for projects implemented in the province. Furthermore, they requested the Government to establish criteria for identifying projects requiring investment cuts, thereby prioritizing funding for key, urgent projects in the province. They also called for more decisive measures in state management across socio-economic sectors, especially in managing commodity prices, ensuring the quality of basic construction projects, guaranteeing traffic safety, and managing forest and mineral resources.

National Assembly delegates informed the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments and agencies about a number of issues related to the province's management, administration, and direction in all areas of socio-economic development, national defense and security, and social order and safety; as well as prominent issues at the grassroots level that the National Assembly delegation had gathered through contact with constituents.

On behalf of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Comrade Pham Van Tan fully received the opinions and recommendations from the provincial leaders and departments. Based on these, the Delegation will study and make recommendations to the National Assembly, the Government, and central ministries and agencies at the 2nd session of the 13th National Assembly.
