The provincial National Assembly delegation congratulates the health sector.
(Baonghean.vn) - To celebrate the 59th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day on February 21st, the delegation of National Assembly representatives from Nghe An province visited and presented flowers to congratulate the Nghe An Department of Health and the Provincial Committee for the Protection and Care of Cadre Health.
The delegation was led by Comrade Pham Van Tan, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, along with leaders from relevant departments and divisions.
At the Nghe An Department of Health, the delegation congratulated the health sector on its outstanding achievements over the past year, especially its efforts in improving medical ethics, investing in modern facilities and equipment, and applying advanced scientific and technical methods to treatment. In 2013, the Nghe An health sector continuously received good news: the Provincial Friendship General Hospital successfully performed a kidney transplant; the Oncology Hospital became the first provincial-level hospital in the country to implement bone marrow transplantation; and other hospitals in the area successfully implemented advanced and complex techniques in treatment. In addition, after 10 years of implementing the Provincial People's Committee's project to improve medical ethics, the health sector has made remarkable progress in many aspects. Over the past 10 years, many exemplary individuals and advanced models of medical ethics have been recognized.

Comrade Bui Dinh Long, Director of the Nghe An Department of Health, expressed his gratitude for the affection shown by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation towards the health sector and hoped that in the future, the sector would continue to receive the attention and assistance of the Delegation so that doctors and medical staff in the sector could successfully fulfill their assigned tasks.
At the Provincial Committee for the Protection and Care of Cadre Health, the delegation was pleased with the committee's progress in many aspects. On average, the committee provides primary medical examination and treatment to over 16,000 cadres and Party members from various periods annually. On behalf of the Committee, Dr. Tran Dinh Nhuong expressed gratitude for the attention shown by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to the Committee's doctors and medical staff. He also affirmed that the officials, doctors, and medical staff will continue to improve their professional skills and expertise, and develop innovative and effective approaches in providing healthcare for the province's officials.

This is the first commune health station in the province to be awarded the title of Heroic Unit. Despite being a poor commune with over 7,000 inhabitants, thanks to effective healthcare socialization efforts and the determination of the doctors, staff, and local people, the Dien Van Commune Health Station has continuously developed in terms of infrastructure and human resources. Annually, the station provides medical examinations and treatment to over 16,000 patients. For many years, the unit has done a good job in providing primary healthcare to the people in this coastal area.
