Delegation of National Assembly and Provincial People's Council offered incense to commemorate heroic martyrs and visited policy families in Yen Thanh
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 20, the working delegation of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council organized a flower and incense offering ceremony at the Nghe An Transport Martyrs' Cemetery - Truong Ke Cemetery, located in My Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.
Comrade Thai Thi An Chung, member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, was the Head of the Delegation. The delegation included Comrade Tran Nhat Minh, full-time National Assembly Delegate of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Comrade Chu Duc Thai, Standing Member of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council, representatives of the Yen Thanh District People's Committee and representatives of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council.
Nghe An Transport Martyrs Cemetery - Truong Ke Cemetery in My Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District is a memorial site for 454 Transport martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the resistance war against the US to save the country. The cemetery is a symbol of the spirit of readiness to fight and sacrifice of the heroic martyrs of Nghe An Transport.
With the tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source”, the delegates in the delegation offered incense, expressed their deep gratitude, and commemorated the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their youth to cut mountains, destroy bombs, and clear roads for vehicles to go to the battlefield to support the great front line, serving the cause of resistance war to save the country and fight for national independence.
The delegation vows to continue to strive and make continuous efforts for the cause of national construction and defense, improve the quality and effectiveness of the activities of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, fulfill the role of representing the voice of voters and people of the province, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the homeland and the country.
On this occasion, the delegation visited and presented gifts to 3 disadvantaged policy families in My Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district.
