The Belgian Embassy delegation works in Quy Hop

(Baonghean.vn) - On October 19, Mr. Robert Footer - Consultant of the Development Cooperation Agency, Mr. Jean Christopher - Advisor of the Development Cooperation Program, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium in Vietnam, had a working session with the People's Committee of Quy Hop district.

Joining the delegation was comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee - Secretary of the District Party Committee.

The purpose of the meeting was to grasp the implementation of the socio-economic development plan, supervision and public investment in Quy Hop district to move towards implementing the project "Poverty reduction through strengthening institutional capacity at district and provincial levels" in Quy Hop district.

Overview of the working session.

This project is managed by the Department of Planning and Investment, based on ODA non-refundable aid from the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium. The purpose of the project is to reduce poverty for ethnic minority people through strengthening the institutional capacity of local governments in decentralizing planning, budgeting, monitoring, evaluating, implementing and providing public services according to the objectives of the public administration reform program.

Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Secretary of the District Party Committee briefly reported on the socio-economic development situation of Quy Hop district.

GrandfatherRobert Footer - consultant and Mr. Jean Christopher - development cooperation program advisor, Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium worked with leaders of Quy Hop district.

At the meeting, representatives of Quy Hop district leaders provided basic information about the socio-economic development of Quy Hop district from 2013 to present. After grasping the situation, the Belgian embassy delegation discussed the project program contents and hoped to implement this project in Quy Hop as soon as possible./.
