Inspection delegation No. 470 of the Politburo works with the Ministry of Science and Technology

On August 25, Inspection Delegation No. 470 of the Politburo, headed by Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, had a working session with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

On August 25, Inspection Delegation No. 470 of the Politburo, headed by Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh, had a working session with the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology on the leadership, direction and implementation of Conclusion 24-KL/TW dated June 5, 2012 of the Politburo (11th tenure) on promoting the planning and rotation of leaders and managers until 2020 and the following years, in conjunction with the implementation of the Regulation on appointing officials and introducing candidates according to Decision No. 68-QD/TW dated July 4, 2007 of the Politburo (10th tenure).

At the working session, Inspection Delegation No. 470 of the Politburo announced the full text of the draft report on the results of the examination and verification of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology in the leadership, direction and implementation of Conclusion No. 24-KL/TW and Decision No. 68-QD/TW of the Politburo from June 2012 to March 2017.

On behalf of the Inspection Delegation, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh highly appreciated the main advantages in the planning and rotation of leaders and managers, the appointment of officials and the introduction of candidates by the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Party Committees of the agencies and units under the Ministry from 2012 to present; pointed out a number of limitations and shortcomings that need policies and measures to overcome in the coming time; and noted the discussion opinions of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology on the draft report on the results of the examination and verification so that the research delegation could complete the report.

Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh requested the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology to seriously absorb and overcome limitations and shortcomings, focus on leadership and direction to better implement the work of planning, evaluating, rotating and appointing cadres in the coming time. Regarding the recommendations and proposals of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Inspection Team will synthesize and report to the Politburo and the Secretariat for consideration according to their authority.
