Nghe An delegation ranked 18th/65 at the 9th National Sports Festival
(Baonghean.vn) - In the end, Nghe An delegation won 12 Gold medals, 15 Silver medals and 88 Bronze medals, ranking 18th out of 65 provinces, cities and sectors participating in the Congress.
On December 20 - the final competition day of the National Sports Festival, Nghe An athletes were unable to win 3 more gold medals to achieve the set target.
On this competition day, Nghe An delegation has 3 athletes competing in the finals in 2 martial arts: Boxing and Muay.
In Boxing, two athletes from Nghe An, Duong Xuan Trong (44-46kg weight class) and Vo Xuan Hai (57-60kg weight class), lost to athletes from Can Tho and Da Nang, respectively.

In Muay Thai, female boxer Vang Thi Quynh Nhu of Nghe An delegation could not overcome Han Thi Thuy (Thanh Hoa) and had to accept the Silver medal.
Thus, on the final competition day of the 9th National Sports Congress in 2022, the Nghe An delegation only won 3 more Silver medals.
In the end, Nghe An delegation won 12 Gold medals, 15 Silver medals and 88 Bronze medals, ranking 18th out of 65 provinces, cities and sectors participating in the Congress.
Before the 9th National Sports Festival in 2022, Nghe An set a target of winning 15-17 Gold Medals, 10-12 Silver Medals, 20-25 Bronze Medals, ranking 17-15th overall.
