The two suspects, Doan Thi Huong (Vietnamese citizen) and Siti Aisiyah (Indonesian citizen), were both present at today's trial.
Judge Azmi Ariffin said the pleas of both defendants would be recorded on the first day of the trial.
Earlier, Judge Azmi approved prosecutor Muhamad Iskandar Ahmad's request that both defendants be tried together because their actions took place simultaneously at the same location.
Mr. Muhamad Iskandar Ahmad said the prosecution will call 30-50 witnesses, including 10 experts, to answer in court.
Doan Thi Huong and Siti Aisyah were charged with murdering Kim Chol, believed to be Kim Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, in February 2017 at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Both could face the death penalty if convicted./.
