Youth Union members help villagers build bridges

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 9, over 60 youth union members from Cam Lam commune and agencies in Con Cuong district joined forces to build a bridge to help people in Bach Son village.

In just one day of starting from collecting stones to weave skulls, gathering wood..., the temporary bridge connecting Bach Son village to other areas across Si Vang stream was completed, the bridge surface is paved with wood, 1.6m wide, 25m long, with a total value of nearly 50 million VND.

Bach Son village, Cam Lam commune currently has more than 100 households, mainly Thai ethnic people; it is a large village, separated by Si Vang stream, in the past, people from Bach Son village had to travel and trade to other areas by bamboo raft, which was not safe.

The temporary bridge will help people travel conveniently. However, the villagers want a solid bridge to ensure the safety of students during the rainy season and to contribute to economic development and poverty reduction for households in the village.
