The Vietnamese rescue team used cameras, images and sounds to detect signs of life and coordinated with the neighboring country to rescue a Turkish teenager in the rubble.

On February 12, information from the Vietnam Rescue Team (representative of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (C07, Ministry of Public Security) said that on the first day of rescue in Turkey (February 11), the Rescue Team of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam discovered and coordinated with international forces to rescue a 14-year-old victim in the rubble.

Area where rescue teams search.

Accordingly, on February 11, when starting the rescue work at a collapsed building in Adıyaman City (Türkiye), the Working Group used mechanical equipment such as excavators and diggers to search for victims. Along with that, the team used cameras to search, detect images and sounds and discovered signs of life with 2 different sounds (predicting that there were 2 survivors) in the collapsed area.

The representative of the Vietnam Rescue Team said that the team had determined the nearest location to approach the victim and continued to go from the demolished location 6m deep inside along a narrow path that only 1 person could get in. Continuing to clearly detect the victim's echoing sound, the team communicated with the victim with greetings, asking about health "Hello", "How are you?"... and received a response signal from the victim.

Immediately after discovering the life, the Vietnamese Working Group coordinated with the Turkish coordination agency to mobilize additional forces and equipment from other countries to coordinate the rescue with the goal of quickly saving the victim's life. At that time, there were Pakistani military forces working right next to the building where the Vietnamese forces were carrying out their mission.

The Pakistani working group also used ultrasound to locate the victims and developed a plan to coordinate with the Vietnamese and Turkish teams to search for and rescue the victims. From that coordination, the Vietnamese team requested the Pakistani rescue team to approach in different directions.

The Pakistani team approached the back of the building where they were on duty. The Vietnamese team was in front of the building where the team was assigned to work. At about 22:10 (Türkiye time), entering the side of the house, the Pakistani rescue team was able to pull a victim about 14 years old out of the rubble.

"At that time, the emotions of the family, relatives and international forces participating in the rescue at the scene were overwhelming," said a representative of the Vietnam Rescue Team.

Immediately afterwards, the leader of the Pakistani rescue team met with Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, head of the delegation, to thank the Vietnamese delegation for their effective coordination, detecting the victim, and cleaning up the scene so they could carry out the final task of bringing the victim out of danger safely./.
