Cuban medical team arrives in Chile to assist flood victims.
On April 9th, a delegation of nine doctors, four professional nurses, and two epidemiologists from Cuba departed for Chile to assist in caring for flood victims in the South American country.

This is the second time since 2010 that Cuba has sent its medical personnel to assist Chile in recovering from a natural disaster.
In 1961, Chile was also the first country in the world to receive assistance in this field from Cuba since the success of the revolution.
According to official statistics, the severe floods two weeks ago in Chile have killed at least 26 people, left 150 missing, completely destroyed more than 2,000 homes, and left thousands in need of essential supplies and medical assistance.
