Businesses need to link up to improve competitiveness.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 20, Nghe An University of Economics coordinated with the Department of Planning and Investment of Nghe An province to organize a workshop "Linking - improving competitiveness for enterprises in the context of integration".

Attending the event were comrade Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Quang Tuan - Director of the Institute for Sustainable Development Studies, representatives of Departments and branches in the province,

Comrade Le Quang Huy - Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee spoke at the Workshop on the important role of linkage and improving the competitiveness of enterprises.

Currently, in Nghe An, there are more than 15,000 registered enterprises and about 9,000 enterprises contribute to the state budget. 80% of the above enterprises are small and medium enterprises, there is no connection between main production companies, supporting production companies as well as input material producers, so it causes waste of material resources, low labor productivity, weak management, administration and leadership capacity.

The workshop aims to promote the discovery, application and transfer of economic and management scientific knowledge to businesses in Nghe An province and at the same time support the business community in finding effective solutions.

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Quang Tuan - Director of the Institute for Regional Sustainable Development Studies delivered a speech at the workshop.

At the workshop, 9 delegates presented their papers on the above topic. Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Quang Tuan - Director of the Institute for Regional Sustainable Development Research introduced effective economic practices in other countries, emphasizing linkages in economic development, especially for a country with a high proportion of agriculture like Vietnam.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Le Quang Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, emphasized: Connecting businesses and improving competitiveness in integration is very important. Nghe An has also issued a Resolution on business development and an action plan to implement Resolution 35 of the Government on removing difficulties for businesses. The conference needs to propose solutions and recommendations to submit to the National Assembly, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee to issue appropriate documents to create a foundation for sustainable business development./.
