Korean enterprises in Nghe An strive to find orders

(Baonghean.vn) - The global economic recession has significantly affected the production and business activities of Korean enterprises in Nghe An. However, the units are still trying to adapt, find orders, and create stable jobs for workers.

BSE Electronic Components Factory of BSE Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. in the Southeast Economic Zone (Nghe An) is one of the first 100% Korean-owned factories built in Nghe An. In operation since 2012, the factory has so far created stable jobs for 2,000 workers with an average income of 6.2 million VND/month.

Currently, the company has 183 employees with college degrees or higher, 31 technical workers and 1,691 unskilled workers. The company currently pays insurance for 1,905 people and ensures other benefits.

Due to the impact of the global economic recession, since 2022, orders have been cut, the company has had difficulties with orders and jobs. It was not until the fourth quarter of 2022 and the first quarter of 2023 that there were more orders from Samsung Group, so operations were more stable.

Ensuring employment for workers is a vital task that company leaders are most concerned about in the current context. The unit focuses on contacting associations and corporations in countries to find jobs for workers.

Despite many difficulties due to the global economic downturn, constant changes in designs, and the current increase in minimum wages for workers due to regional changes, the cost for investors has increased by 17% compared to 2022. However, the company's 6-month revenue still reached 336.6 billion VND, of which exports reached 80 billion VND, contributing nearly 27 billion VND to the budget. This is a great effort of the Company. Currently, the company still needs to recruit nearly 300 more workers because previous workers have quit due to lack of work.

At Haivina Kim Lien Garment Company Limited (Nam Dan), a Korean garment company in Vietnam, finding orders is considered an important task by all leaders. The company representative said that the leaders have worked with customers in the US, Germany, France, Korea... to ensure orders for the company and with the prestige of the garment brand over the past 10 years, the company still has stable jobs for 2,000 workers.

At Lotte Mart Vinh supermarket (Ha Huy Tap ward, Vinh city) belonging to Lotte Vietnam Trade Center Joint Stock Company, in the context of the global economic recession and reduced consumer demand, efforts have been made to find retail markets, hunt for sources of goods at original prices, quality, ensuring food hygiene and safety, in addition, there are many policies to attract consumers. In addition, providing household goods, fashion, and electronics at attractive prices. To create jobs and income for workers, the supermarket has opened many more entertainment services, weekend entertainment, and Korean-style culinary experiences...

Some Korean investors also said that Nghe An is currently a destination for Koreans, but services for investors are still limited, and there are not many places suitable for Koreans such as restaurants, eateries, entertainment and resort areas.

Nghe An province has 24 Korean investment projects, including 19 projects with a total registered capital of 70.97 million USD outside industrial parks and 5 projects/95.73 million USD in the Southeast Economic Zone and industrial parks with diverse types of production and business.
